The conference was well attended (120 listed delegates) and the quality of the papers give was of a good standard. Junior SCL
If you are new to the world of construction law, then you can register as a junior member. The junior committee arranges site visits (most recently to the redevelopment of 200 Aldersgate Street – formerly the offices of Clifford Chance), conferences with King's College London and social events such as the annual summer Boat Trip on the Thames.
Booking preference for any of the organised Junior events is always given to those who are registered as Junior Members. To register as a Junior Member is easy. Simply log in to the SCL website (www.scl.org.uk) using your username and password. Click on ‘Members’ and then the 'Junior members' link on the left. You will find an explanation of Junior Membership, and a simple form to register. You do not need to enter your name/details – these are already recognised by the website after you log in; you only need to confirm your eligibility by stating that you are junior in your area of expertise. For further details, contact either Nicholas Gould or Richard Bailey.
