the author

Well, I have to admit I can't believe I am writing this. I never thought I would be able to write a book, let alone get it published! But I have managed it, and it is slowly becoming more and more real.

I was born in Oxford in January 1986, and have lived on the same road all my life with my Swedish mother, English father and my older brother Philip. I speak fluent Swedish, and go to Sweden a lot to visit family in the holidays.

I write a lot, and even though this is my first book, I write a lot of poetry and songs. I play the cello and piano, and sing with different groups, and on my own. I am currently studying my A levels at Cherwell School in Oxford. I am doing English Literature and language, Art and General Studies. Music and writing is my main passion, but I also love to paint, and draw. My favourite music bands are Turin Brakes, David Gray, and Phatfish. I sing in a band at my church, which leads the worship in the service once a month.

I have wanted to be a teacher since the age of five, but my ambition is changing slightly now. I know I still want to work with children, but I am not sure that being a full-on primary school teacher is right for me. I think I may look into special needs teaching, where there is a lot more one to one contact with the children. Writing is something I think I will always do, whether it's just writing in my diary, or a poem now and again, or maybe another book. But I am not sure I could write as a career as I am very much a people person.
